Blind Blake on Paramount 12387 Early Morning Blues (matrix 3057)/West Coast Blues (matrix 3056)
West Coast side mislabelled as Early Morning Blues (second photo)
These are the later, electrical versions released under the same catalogue number as the 1926 acoustics.
Beautiful E to E+ condition.
Copies such as this are extremely hard to come by.
This copy has a small, very slight warp and is not caused by heat damage--and not uncommon on these Paramounts.
Has absolutely no effect on tracking, sound, surface, or playback.
Please PM to inquire about pricing. SOLD!
Thanks,
Steven

Which side is in fact "West Coast Blues"?

Hi Roland,RolandVV-360 wrote:Which side is in fact "West Coast Blues"?
It is the second photo. The matrix number is 3056. It is not easy to read so I have attached a photo.
These are the superior, and more desireable, electrical versions and released under the same catalogue number as the 1926 acoustic versions.
Thanks,
Steven

The $280 one you are referring to is not in as good condition and is the acoustical version. Mine is in much better condition and is the electrical version, released under the same catalogue number.soundgen wrote:fetched $1000 in 2011 , $280 last year

The other example you cited is also not really a fair comparison

OK, so what are you asking for it... don't make us guess...

A records value is soo subjective ,and even depends on the mood of the buyer at time purchase ...especially on eBay people do weird things there ...I bought a record for a little over $500 .A few days later another just as mint sat at $150 so I sniped it,why because I did not want someone else to get a better deal than I had on the first copy !.My point is a record is worth what someone will pay ....got the second copy for $152.50 ....what is the true value??

You are absolutely right and it's one of the many things that makes this hobby so enjoyable!
That worn out Blind Blake Paramount with a bite out of it just may sell for $100 or more if someone wants it badly enough
