Homophone recording attachment
Just picked this up at auction. Looks like it recorded on a wax disc when attached to a phonograph or diamond disc machine. It needs a little repair, but it looks like the only broken part is an adjustment ring which shouldn't be too hard to replicate. Not sure if the recorder is missing anything or if the diaphragm just attached to the face of the recorder with a gasket in between. Does anyone else have one of these with pictures of a good recorder? The folks at British Library Reference Services were kind enough to provide images of the manual.

That looks awesome, Bill. Bring it with you the next time you stop by- I'd love to see it. You are the master at finding cool stuff.
You probably already saw this, but here is a link to a Homophone

It doesn't picture the recorder so is of no help to determine what may be missing. Perhaps they'd send a picture or two if you emailed them.
Anyway-- Something new to see-- Always fun. Thanks for posting.

Yes, those were the nice folks who sent me scans of the manual.
