Ever See An Edison Iron Clad Fan?

Post by rodpickett »

Neither have I, until now.

Noted expert and Editor of The Antique Phonograph, Rene´ Rondeau, has included an informative article on same in the June issue.

While slightly off-topic, it is related to the Edison companies and a continuation of efforts to expand member's breadth-of-knowledge. Who knows? You may run across one “in-the-wild” sometime.

In an ironic twist, Stanton’s Auctions submitted their flyer/ad for the Fall auction and one of the featured items is an Edison Iron Clad fan.

As I explore antique shops perhaps there will be one of these fans to see.

I used to own one ( an open back, not the much rarer glass back version) but had to let it go in a trade. They are very cool. Chances of finding one in an antique shop are pretty slim!
