I just thought it looked very early / old - and interesting.
Mahogany horn maybe which looks unusually 'integrated' into the gramophone body - and looks well made ?
I don't think it is an Edison Bell (?)...
Thank you for any information / views about this.

Interesting. I'm not sure about the cut down spear tip idea, the one I have and the ones I recall seeing look different.

I think it's a cool homebrew and would be nice to see restored.
That bullet brake though needs to come off. There are regular Pailard brakes available, from junker machines. That brake needs to go back on a Victor or someone will tear up more Victors just for the brake parts.
But honestly this thing would look nice in an Art Nouveau room.

It would look far better in landfill. It's complete and utter junk.VanEpsFan1914 wrote: But honestly this thing would look nice in an Art Nouveau room.

I would really disagree, I see this as someone's labor of love, and it's a really interesting piece to me and maybe to some others as well. I think whoever did this did a great job, and I would buy this and restore it, but I think the bid is already too high for what its worth to me.Steve wrote:It would look far better in landfill.
