These were recording blanks from the 30s or 40s. I also have a bunch of unused blanks as curiosity. Not sure about the Edison connection?

It's a recording blank for an Edison Voicewriter dictation machine, I do believe.

These are late - 1960's. Mcgraw-Edison had a complicated history and many mergers: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McGraw-Edison

Yes; I remember we had one of those Voicewriters hanging around in our house: it may have belonged to my maternal grandfather. I fiddled around trying to play it, without much success.
