Need advice regarding a VV-XVI motor

Someone had overwound and snapped the pin(s) that keeps the ratchet gear from slipping on the shaft. (see photo)

My question, before pounding on it, is, "Who knows for certain if that is one pin passing through the shaft."

The piece that remains in the shaft is one piece, if that's what you're asking. You can just tap it out.
