I would have been on it if they weren't predicting snow...

Hope someone from the forum grabs it....

While I'm not really looking for more machines, I, too, would be going for this if it weren't for the weather. I don't like driving in the Boston area anymore, but that wouldn't stop me if not for the country roads I'd have to leave from. Sometimes I think I might be getting old or something...

Too bad the seller didn't list it on craigslist, which I normally look at a few times a day. I'd have gone instantly while the weather was good. But I'm one of those privacy types who dislike facebook, and I don't see things listed within the walled garden, unless someone posts it here. Seems quite a few nice deals turn up there.

I, too, hope a forum member is able to acquire it. It'll be a gorgeous machine when restored properly.

I bought it for a friend who's looking to get into the hobby. Guy ended up agreeing to $280 for it. Horn and machine both need some TLC: some splits beginning in panels on the horn, metal connector for horn has the usual flaking paint. Machine was overall in decent shape, lid will need to be refinished. Mandrel completely frozen due to the usual pot metal bearing issue, but the motor was running nice and quietly after adjusting it a bit. If anyone has a lead on a crane for a music master horn, let me know as it was missing. No interesting cylinders, typical stuff you find.

What a steal! The horn alone is well worth $280, and there may be some good titles among the cylinders. An instant collection!
I would love to have a Music Master horn for my Triumph, but I have never seen one on it's own for sale in the UK.
