Charlie Weatherbee made talking machine toys starting in the 1980s. He made several varieties similar to the one in this thread. He also made a version of Siam Sue using period correct puppets. His phono toys were well received by the collecting community. I may be wrong but I thought he sold the phono toy business to someone that continued making them. Charlie's toys were well made and I enjoyed owning several. I visited with him at the Orlando Show almost two years ago and we talked about his toys and Masters Swimming. He was a good college swimmer and continues to compete at the Master's level. Charlie inspired me to become a Masters Swimmer.
