Edison Lab Springs

Post by Phono-Phan »

In all my years working on phonographs, I need to replace both springs in an Edison Diamond Disk Lab model. My question is: How do the spring barrels come apart. I have them out of the machine. Is there a good tutorial on doing this?
Thanks in advance, Ken Brekke

I searched Youtube and didn't find anything on an Edison double spring DD motor.

Did you check the archives section of this forum?
In the Directions and Manuals section, you'll find a workshop manual for the Edison Disc Motor. It should explain the step by step procedure for dismantling a double spring barrel.
