I'll make some updates to the data based on my finding faint evidence of the case decals that were very neatly removed, for some dumb reason...

Re: “Q” Graphophone Questionnaire
The Q I pictured on May 30 is the first "covered" Q I've owned. Maybe this is always the case and something I've never realized, but with the winding key & larger reproducer installed, the lid won't go on. The key & reproducer must be removed. Is this normal???

Re: “Q” Graphophone Questionnaire
Yes - with the later D-2B type reproducer it needs to be removed, but with the earlier "Q" reproducer the lid will fit without it being removed.JerryVan wrote:The Q I pictured on May 30 is the first "covered" Q I've owned. What a nice design move for Columbia A relief however to learn that I don't have some mixed up combination of parts! Thanks for your help!fran604g wrote:Yes - with the later D-2B type reproducer it needs to be removed, but with the earlier "Q" reproducer the lid will fit without it being removed.JerryVan wrote:The Q I pictured on May 30 is the first "covered" Q I've owned.
