Re: WANTED - Grill for an Edison Army Navy DD Phono
I think your best bet is to have one made.To get you started here are photos and measurements of what you need:
15.5" wide
13"high
The metal material appears to be 1/16" thick (but please check with a piece of scrap)
The ovals are ¾" wide and 5" tall
The ovals are 5/16" apart
The vertical divider between the right and left side is 1&5/16"
The distance from one oval to the one directly below is 1&½"
I believe my machine is all original and this piece appears to be factory brush painted. I've had good customer service from Sherman Williams and they've color matched projects for me.
Let me know if I can be of additional help. There must be some place that has a copier large enough to lay my grill and make an accurate copy.

Thank you so much for your help and all of those specifics. I was actually able to get ahold of Tom at Gramps Treasures and he may be able to reproduce one for me. If not, I’ll definitely be in touch. Thanks again Jerry.

That’s what he said, but it would be aluminum.

See if there's a laser-cutting business in your area. Such businesses can cut most any metal. I've had excellent luck with such a business.brianu wrote:Jerry B. wrote:Can Gramps make a metal one? Jerry

Brett Hurt, username cheryla, made mine out of steel of the correct thickness. It looks great, fits well and comes primed and ready to paint.

Like George said I have had radio parts laser cut too. The first one is expensive due to set up but the copies are cheaper. Tom
