Interesting gramophone

Post by poodling around »

This seems to have attracted a lot of interest, very quickly - and bids.

What is it ? German maybe ?

The metal decoration is typical of Swiss/German machines, but the poor pictures make it difficult to see the make of the motor.
Given that the buyer will have to source a horn, a soundbox and a winding handle, and probably have to overhaul the motor, this is no bargain.

The pity is that the tonearm seems not in correspondence with the machine, and falls short! Maybe the whole support, tonearm etc come from a different machine

Ah. Now, that's a really good observation.

I wish I had noticed that !

The back bracket is either loose on it's mountings or has been bent backwards. When fitted at the correct angle, the tracking alignment will be improved.
