NIPPER DOG AND EXPERT GRAM 001.jpg
A delightful but sadly, very short film. I wonder if the men took the costs of repairing the horn of the machine out of the dog's ration money for a few weeks!

Just in case the 2 gentlemen in the video are unfamiliar, both are heavyweights of the early music industry.

William Sinkler Darby had a long recording career and traveled the world around the turn of the last century with Fred Gaisberg, responsible for many of the first recordings from countries that they visited.

Theodore Birnbaum
though originally from London, was the first Managing Director of The Gramophone Company in Berlin (and perhaps Russia?). In April 1904 he become Managing Director in London replacing William Barry OWEN
