HMV 100 in oak

Post by Steve »

I've just purchased a French version of this which I've stripped down for cleaning.

Upon doing a Google search it appears the 100 portable in solid oak is quite a rarity.

Has anyone else got one or more to the point were they available in the UK if even for a very brief time?

There was an HMV 100 at auction which some people thought might be oak - does it look similar to yours I wonder ?

That is it! It's definitely solid oak too, no question.

It's not a colonial model but a standard production model in the French division of HMV.

At least photos aren't needed now to prove its existence. It's just as well as I can't add any!

I've found a way to trick the site to allow me to post but it doesn't always work.

Very good - you have solved the mystery of that other thread too !

It would still be very good to see a few photo's of your machine if you are able to sometime in the future.
