Long Play Edison Grille Center Piece. $30 and shipping.

Post by EarlH »

I had to glue the one all back together from a 3-C Edison long play machine I bought a few months ago and I decided to cast a few extra one's of these things. They are kind of tedious to make and clean up all the rough edges on. I have a few extra and put some finish on them to get them to look about right with the machine I have. They are not perfect, but I am very happy with how they turned out. Even the crazing from the old varnish is in the finished product. I am NOT going to be any competition with Don Wilson when it comes to plastic casting!

You will need to drill pilot holes for the brads you use as I am not sure if Edison cut all those round holes behind the grille cloth in the same place. I doubt Edison used different sizes for these things, but you never know about them. They are about 5 ½" wide and 7 ¼" tall. If you have any questions, or if you want more pictures you can get after me. I still have three of them and I really doubt I want to make anymore. Let me know what you think and $4.50 should cover the shipping. Thanks now, Earl
