"Washing up liquid" is what our UK friends call liquid dish soap, like Dawn or similar.

Ahh I see, British stuff you wash your dirty plates and cutlery with.... in hot water as well of course. detergent liquid.

I believe "washing up liquid" is the British term for dish soap.
