A five figure sum would not surprise me.

Just to animate the watcher's poll... I bet it'll go for 9500 pounds sterling. :D

Hmm... Despite this one being really special and rare, Experts possibly (and if so, undeservedly) have slightly less lure than EMGs, and a vanishingly rare Expert All-Range at auction a year or two ago didn't reach the giddy heights I thought it might, so I'm plumping for £7000 as a light-hearted guess... :geek: I'll be happily amused to be proved very wrong though!

Seeing as the other recent two went for around twice my expected price I will say ............... £13,000 ............ that is just the winning bid - then add on auction commission etc etc .......................

The sheer size of the All Range horn will have deterred those whose houses have the British standard 30 inch door openings. This wonderful cartoon by Alastair, which has already been published in a previous edition of the CLPGS magazine, shows the consequences of purchasing without measuring.

Have I got this straight... 32+% "additional fees and taxes" in addition to 4.99% online sales fee?... 37+% total fees and taxes added to hammer price? Is VAT applicable to foreign purchasers?

No, the 32% usually includes the online fee, which is a bit of a con at the moment seeing as though we can't actually bid in person anyway! When you can its normally about 25%.

As the UK has to pay VAT on any imported goods it figures that VAT will be applicable on all exports.

I hope one of your fellows who follows the auction will report the winning bid.

Somebody got a thundering bargain - £2700 hammer price, £3573 including commission and VAT. I wish I'd bid myself now!
