Zwebi made a very nice replica. maybe he will see this. I think he said Gregg Cline did the lettering and he found an old piece of celluloid from a piano key???

Re: WANTED: ZONOPHONE CELLULOID TAG
If you copy this image on a piece of ivory colored paper and laminate it, the result is a good replica... I have used this method on several machines and they are hard to differentiate from originals. It's cheap to try and if you don't like it, try something else. It's important to use paper that has an aged appearance or use coffee or tea to age it... use the image with the nail heads cropped out.

Thanks for the great ideas.
All of it is do-able. I just thought someone might
have made a repo of the real thing.

Here are a couple of examples of tags I made using the lamination process.

Printing on card stock and a simply layer of amber shellac does wonders...

That works to age paper labels, but laminating replicates celluloid plastic tags. I use amber shellac to age paper instruction sheets inside lids or on bottoms of machines and it works great.fmblizz wrote: Wed Aug 25, 2021 6:18 pm Printing on card stock and a simply layer of amber shellac does wonders...
