Wanted: Poor Edison Home/Triumph A/B Top works

Post by kirtley2012 »

About 3 years ago I'd started to get into cylinder recording and ventured on making an electric cylinder phonograph (In photo) for the purpose of having a powerful recording machine and occasionally using it for playback, it looked excellent, but because I didn't really have the tools or understanding to turn a flywheel assembly and alter the pulley sizes to allow the motor to run faster than it did, It had a warble issue, then came along house moves and other such things and the machine fell by the wayside and ended up getting dismantled, I have no recollection of what happened to the parts, I remember having the Home bedplate around for years, but it's not here now.
Today I found the oak case it was in, the transformer and the universal motor I used before the Ekonowatt (which also disappeared, I fear via eBay), and since I am starting to get back into recording again, and now have a far improved workshop than I did then, I am looking to re-build the electric phonograph

The main thing I need is a complete bedplate / upperworks from a Home A or B, a Triumph works would also work, I don't even really need the bedplate base (for model A's) just the upper works
I don't need a cabinet, motor, reproducer or anything, just the works, mandrel, carriage (an angled carriage rather than horizontal ideally), endgate etc. does anyone have a scrap machine they don't need?

If anyone also has an Ekonowatt motor, I would like to use one of those again, in a better engineered system.

Cheers
