Hi all. I'm looking for a replacement lever for my 9-55E. This is the selector lever for the record size. Measures approx. 2 ½ inches long. I'm assuming, but not certain that this lever was used on other early automatic machines as well. Would prefer a good original but if there's a repro available. I'll take it. Thanks.

I think you may want a new one. If I remember right, these are made of pot metal.

Yes it's definitely pot metal, however I'm unable to find a source for new parts for these automatic changers. I know they were reproduced at one time. Just don't know if they still are or not.

FYI Chester: I believe there are two variations in the position of the setscrew on these levers (different positions for different machines). One is like yours, and the other has the setscrew positioned 180 degrees opposite. When using the proper lever for your machine, the setscrew will be out of sight when installed. I'll let the Orthophonic machine experts verify this...
