For sale is the Edison Home I restored last year. The motor runs strong, quietly, and without any warble. It is a little noisy when running in 4 min mode, but isn't loud enough to be heard over the motor. It comes with a Model C reproducer. The case has holes drilled in the back for a cygnet back bracket. The upper casting broke in two places but was repaired as can be seen in the photos. I put new rubber feet on the bottom of the case as well. It has a new brass bearing, and I installed a new end bearing for the mandrel made out of titanium.
I have it listed for sale locally with a large searchlight horn and the crane. Here on the forum I am listing it without the crane and horn for $400 + shipping. (I do not want to ship the horn). I am also open to reasonable offers!
Feel free to ask any questions.
David.

Hi David. That is a very nice looking Home with horn! Good luck with you sale! Someone, I'm sure, would love to have that displayed with their collection, and at a great price!

People are very fed up with the shipping cost anymore. I'm sure that comes into play.
Good luck with your sale.

A broken casting on any phonograph, in spite of being repaired, is an important consideration for most prospective buyers. This alone would be a major drawback to purchasing this from my own perspective and I would suspect some others as well. This, coupled with the shipping cost for a fairly hefty machine like this, are likely the reasons that no one has expressed interest. The Edison Home D is also fairly common to find in decent condition for a price near your asking price without concerns with a broken/repaired casting. My apologies for the candid comments. I do hope that you are able to sell it as I'm sure you put a good amount of work into this.

Doug, I appreciate the comments. I was prepared for there to be so little interest mostly because of the broken casting. If you remember I purchased a replacement casting from you awhile back… but I couldn’t close the lid on my machine! And around that time I was able to fix the original one so I just kept it on it. I will probably just hang onto this one… I put a lot of hours into fixing (and breaking this machine). Thanks again for the comment!
