NO LONGER AVAILABLE: Victor Electrola VE9-40 - INQUIRE

Post by maginter »

Taking offers on a Victor Electrola VE9-40. It needs restored, but is a good start for someone wanting one. It is missing the Electric Pickup and Arm and the tube from the valve to the horn. Everything else looks like it is there. The tubes are in the pictures, but they were all bad or broken.
Just looking to get as much as I can out of it. I paid $500. Accepting Offers.

Must arrange for Pickup in Westfield, IN

I need it out of my garage!!

As the listing says, " It needs restored, but is a good start for someone wanting one." You will need to look for one.

Would you potentially be able to take it to the Chicago show in June?

Can we please see pix of the back, with covers off? Antenna, amp, are the tubes present, state of the valve and antenna gears, etc? Thanks.

Sure Pete, It is missing the Electric Pickup and Arm and the tube from the valve to the horn. Everything else looks like it is there. The tubes are in the pictures, but they were all bad or broken. I'll post picks when I get home from work.

Thanks. Oh yeah, one more significant element is whether it has the electrodynamic driver, or the horseshoe magnet type, and the related plumbing. Thanks again.

Pretty sure it is the Horseshoe Magnet pickup, but I will send pictures.
