Okay, I know this is a long shot, but if anyone has any 7 & 8 inch records to sell. I would be interested. As I have acquired and restored a Victor Type O gramophone.

Just curious, is there a reason why 10" records won't work on your O? I'll admit, given the size of the O, 7" & 8" records look nice on its turntable, so I totally "get it" if that's your reasoning. Anyway, hope you're enjoying your new machine!

What songs? My local record store has a lot of post-Monarch 7"s.

I was told I shouldn’t play the 10 inch records, as they will get damaged after 10 plays. Also, something about the spindle hole being the wrong size, and that I need a machine with a screw down spindle. Also, he mentioned something about the No. 2 soundbox being made for use with ridged front mount arms. All, I know is that the 10 inch record that I played is a pre bat wing one.JerryVan wrote: Sun Apr 10, 2022 6:46 pm Just curious, is there a reason why 10" records won't work on your O? I’m not big on religious music, or opera, or classical. I do like the Hayden Quartet, the Peerless Quartet, Colins and Harlan. I like a lot of Jazz, Blues, humorus

You should have zero problems playing a 10" record on your O.Edisonfan wrote: Sun Apr 10, 2022 7:08 pmI was told I shouldn’t play the 10 inch records, as they will get damaged after 10 plays. I don't understand how this could possibly be true.
