Brown bedplate would have come from an oak finish Amberola. I'd also be interested in buying the complete machine if you want to sell the entire package. Bedplate should be in excellent original condition. Thanks!

Re: Wanted: Amberola I or III Mechanism, Brown
Interesting, Bruce. All of the completely original Edison Amberola 1A's in oak that I have seen (and I also own one) have the attractive gun metal (bed plate and gear covers) finish. The book says that Amberola 1A's were available with brown bed plates but I've never seen a completely original Edison Amberola 1A in oak with the brown bed plate. The brown bed plates on the Amberola 1B, Amberola III and Amberola V models I have definitely seen (and own). Would appreciate seeing a picture of a factory issued Amberola 1A in oak with the brown bed plate and gear covers if anyone has one.

I guess I was not quite clear Doug. I am seeking the brown Amberola1B or III bedplate. I clarified in the title now.
