WANTED: Tone arm and reproducer for Sonora Baby Grand

Post by zenith82 »

I'm getting ready to start a Sonora Baby Grand for my wife. Aside from a hideous amateur refinish that was done many decades ago, someone replaced the tone arm with one of those generic pot metal tone arms. I need an original to replace it with.

Not sure if there were variations during the production of the Baby Grand, but this one has the July 1916 patent on the cabinet and has the "57 Reade St., New York" data plate in the lid. Sonora moved their offices to 279 Broadway in the spring/summer of 1917, so I'm assuming this phono was produced in either late 1916 or early 1917.

Anybody got a spare tone arm and reproducer?

Contact Mike Patella: [email protected] - he should have one. He doesn’t follow the Forum.
