I realize I am a bit tardy here...

Post by Tinkerbell »

As some of you may have noticed, (and a big thank you to those who were so gracious as to check on me), I had been absent for a bit due to some personal matters.

Because I did not have the opportunity to keep up with the board during the holidays, for those of you who celebrate Christmas, I was wondering if any of you found any new "toys" under or around your tree this year that you care to either share in words or photographs?

I'd love to see (or hear) about them... :rose:

I didn't receive any phono items but Santa did bring me a 1968 Schwinn Sting-Ray Run-A-Bout. DeeDee bought it from a fellow that was a dealer in the 1960s and 70s and the bike is NOS. I was thrilled! Jerry Blais

Oh, my brother would be soooo jealous!!

What a thoughtful gift from "Santa."

Any pictures???

(My brother just recently finished his restoration of a 1967 Schwinn cycle truck, and it turned out gorgeous.) :rose:

Welcome back to the heard Tinkerbell,

Just before Christmas I did step out and buy myself a Christmas gift. I figured Santa wouldn't show up so I better do it myself !

I purchased a brown mahogany Brunswick model 350. I haven't received it yet but the ol' Pony Express should deliver it in the next couple of months. It's in very nice condition with just one veneer chip on the backside. Here is a description and photo of the same model:

I hope we all have a good year and many new finds for all the members.

Oh my, I bet that will be beautiful... you must be so anxious for it to arrive! I'll look forward to seeing pictures!

I know I love my old Brunsy!

Thank you, CP! :rose:

Welcome back Tink!

No real phono items for Christmas here but we did take the opportunity to make a couple new Christmas videos :)

Welcome back Mrs T. Good to see you here again :)

Well I treated myself to some more records over the christmas period and also just after christmas to a "new" cabinet for my VE9-55. The one I have for my machine is badly damaged and I reckon its cheaper to import a gutted one from the US and bring it here to New Zealand than fixing up the original one. It should arrive her late Feb. In case you aren't familiar with this model this is what one looks like. As some would say a musical wardrobe indeed!

And, although off-topic, this was a belated Christmas toy:
