Wanted: Victor schoolhouse elbow
I’m looking for an elbow for a Victor schoolhouse. I need the wider end that fits in the arm support. Thanks! John

You might post a photo of the cast bracket with a measurement across the opening. Good luck with your search.

ticticdok,
If you actually need elbow measurements, I’ll measure mine and PM you with those measurements. I do know the schoolhouse elbow is unique from the standard 3 sizes of the Vic I, Vic II and Vic III-VI elbows…

Re: Wanted: Victor schoolhouse elbow
Just wanted to join this string with a question.
Does anyone know about an adapter for a schoolhouse horn
that downsizes the button end to fit into a Victor III size elbow?
They do exist.
Thanks for any help on this.

In regards to an elbow adapter for a schoolhouse horn to fit into a the Vic III-VI elbow…I’ve never seen one..
I’ve just seen the “up” adapters for the Vic I and Vic II to go with a bigger horn.
Now, the question is: would the schoolhouse horn be available to sell to the general public to use on household machines…? The extra large horn I would think would only be sold to the school districts and universities that purchased a XXV machine.
Was the average person not associated with any school able to purchase XXV related parts…?

You can use it, but you will need an adapter for it to work. The end is slightly larger than a regular horn. They made them that way because people used to steal the wooden horns off of them for use on their machines at home.

And also, what I’ve noticed on my XXV elbow is that the elbow is actually screwed in and twist nipple locked to the metal horn end cap.
Most others are just a twist and unlock.
That would have deterred theft also…
