Both days. I usually park my fawn Vauxhall (PX 10) overlooking Orchard from inside the paddock. It would be great to meet up.Steve wrote: Wed Aug 02, 2023 5:40 amAre you going both days or just Sat or Sun? As it's not far from me, I was thinking of going, purely as a spectator!emgcr wrote: Mon Jul 31, 2023 6:08 pm I shall be at Prescott as usual and will be delighted to seek you out Iain. Why does an auction house do that?

And to answer your question, it's so companies like Invaluable and Worthpoint can charge us heaps of money via online subscriptions so we can simply look this stuff up for reference in the future.

£10880 including the eye watering 36% auction fees. Both the hammer price and the fees must be near record levels.Steve wrote: Thu Aug 03, 2023 9:50 am£8000 plus comms.neilmack wrote: Thu Aug 03, 2023 9:44 am " Auctioneer has chosen not to publish the price of this lot "

Even so, the buyer now has a much better machine, with a known history, than that overpriced HMV202 discussed elsewhere.
One would have thought that publishing (and no doubt taking the credit for) the high sale price would benefit the auctioneers more than the money generated by only making it available to subscribers.
