Columbia tone arm
Columbia tone arm
Recently bought a Columbia BGT. Seems all original however the tone arm has some kind of blockage about ½ inch from the end which prevents the elbow from the lyric reproducer to slid into the tone arm. The blockage is round shaped and fills the entire interior of the tone arm. Tried pushing on it and lightly hammering it but it doesn't budge. It looks as if the tone arm was made with this but I don't see how sound would be able to reach the horn if this were the case. Any suggestions if this was original and not a foreign object and if not how to remove it. Thank you
Re: Columbia tone arm
I believe you have a Columbia BGT phonograph and was wondering if you would consider selling it.
