Looks like a Columbia BI in "An American Christmas Carol" (1979) w/ Henry Winkler. It can be seen at different times throughout the film. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXa1JaLNq0w

I was watching Shanghai Knights with my kids, whoever was in charge of continuity must have been trying to get back at someone. Not only does a young Charlie Chaplin appear in the film (which is supposedly set in 1887... he would have been -2 years old) but this machine is seen in the background of Arthur Conan Doyle's office...

It's shocking to see a film so blatantly anachronistic but I guess that's the way things have been trending in the past 20 years.

If I recall correctly, there was a Television Special (on PBS) in 1977, Season 1, episode 7, ('The Best of Families') with Sigourney Weaver and Victor Garber, which showed an Edison Spring Motor Phonograph playing a Lambert cylinder next to a Xmas tree (portraying New Year's scene of 1899/1900).

But I don't see it (yet) streaming on any platform...

That’s more accurate than I see in most films.

Just watching in YT a program about Agustin Lara, the mexican musician, a scene appears which seems to be part of an old film where I spot one of those period Electrolas or Grafonolas, which model is this?
