Some excellent playing and sounding 5000 cylinders, plus a couple of high 4000 Hillbilly songs!!! All with an original box. All play well. A couple have minor splits that do not come near the bright and shiny playing surface!!
Priced individually, shipping is additional. I can deliver to Stantons this weekend, or the Chicago show in a couple of weeks.

5229 - Played by Constance Mering, this cylinder was released in November 1926.SOLD
“Crazy Quilt" was composed by Andrew Sterling and Paul Van Loan.
One of her few releases, Constance became ill with tuberculosis in 1930, leading to her untimely death in 1933.

5283 - May I Sleep in your Barn Tonight was released, Frbruary 1927. SOLD
“Can I Sleep in your Barn Tonight” Is a traditional song without attribution.

5410 - Played by the Golden Gate Orchestra, this record was released in October 1927. SOLD
“There’s a Trick in Pikin’ a Chicken” was written by Charles Tobias, Coleman Goetz, and Russel Robinson.
This catchy tune was sung by Jack Kaufman.
There is a small crack that sounds the first second of play. Very minor. If this record did not have that crack, it would be a $100.00 record. As it is, it’s a great example of a highly desirable foxtrot with a vocal chorus and plays well.

The Band of Gideon
The Fisk Jubilee Singers were formed on Friday October 6, 1871. A group of highly talented emancipated slaves who toured to raise funds for their school, Fisk University.

“Henry’s Made a Lady Out of Lizzy” was written by Walter O’Keefe, a song about the Model T. The most influential 20th century car.
