Victor Type E with a weird ID tag?

Post by PeanutTheRabbit »

I got a victor E recently, and everything is awesome on it other than the ID tag. This is the machine that I purchased on eBay that had supposedly came from Tim Fabrizio’s collection, however I have no way of verifying that.
I paid a pretty penny for it because it was in a favorable condition, just curious as to what yall think of that ID tag.

Can you post a good clear pic of just the ID plate? Sorry never mind, I opened the pic and could blow it up better! Lol! 😂
I don’t see any issues with it. What’s concerning you?

Victor ID stamps can be crisp and clean or hard to make out. I have an E ID plate that is double stamped with overlapping Es. From what I can tell from the photo it is a poorly stamped or an overlain E. I wouldn’t worry about it.

Mainly thought the stamp looked more like an R than an E, but I see no evidence the tag has been replaced.

That’s reassuring. Thanks. I see no evidence on the machine that it had been removed or replaced either.
