Very nice. Welcome to the hobby!
Your Victrola actually dates from the early to mid 1920s. There's a serial number dating guide for your model on this page, which also provides some excellent information about your Victrola -- http://www.victor-victrola.com/210.htm

My serial number on it is 66939. The date on the sticker inside the left cabinet is March 15, 1923

If you wished to, you could buy the proper door knobs, https://www.ebay.com/itm/387254306634?_ ... R_iN8ufDZA
If you like what you're using, that's certainly okay too

In that case, I would probably do the same.Choprdoc wrote: Mon Sep 23, 2024 7:24 amThanks for the offer Jerry. Those are what her grandmother had on it. You're very lucky! Nice! You're going to have a great time discovering the enormous charm of music reproduced by a gramophone. You'll get the bug, and guy... It's forever! You'll never listen to any musical reproducer with such warmth, charm and fun as this! Go ahead and enjoy! There's an enormous repertoire of music and words in the 78s...
It indeed has a certain powerful magic appeal which I've not found in any other manmade device.

Buy a bunch of steel needles and use each one only once. Enjoy!

Those records will sound better and last longer with the reproducer rebuilt! Kits are available on eBay and I suggest warming it with a hairdryer to replace the isolator in a Victrola No. 2 soundbox. And the advice everyone said about single use needles is absolutely correct.
