Hello,
Just got a first one. And after a day it started making “ticking” noises, when playing and with out a record.
Any advise how to solve it would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Issue with Victorla 2-60
Sounds like the governor weights hitting something... Maybe the speed lever or any other part nearby.. you'll never know until you dismantle the board to see the motor in operation.

Thank you!
Does a “manual” or any other manual-like resource exists for Victorla VV2-60?
I know it is a long shot, but trying to figure out how to avoid basic mistakes when opening the gramophone.

I don't think you'll need a specific owner's manual for this, since this appears to be an issue with the governor--specifically, the governor weights seem to be hitting something when spinning.Fifi24 wrote: Sun Oct 27, 2024 6:05 am Thank you!

To inspect the motor, you should.
Take a photo of the motor-board for reference.
Let the motor completely unwind.
Remove the crank.
Remove the spent needle cup.
Remove the turntable by removing the spindle's clip, and pulling the turntable upward.
Remove the sound box or reproducer from the tonearm.
Remove the tonearm by unscrewing the screws holding its base in place.
Remove all of the screws holding the motor board in place.
Pull up on the motor board to remove it from the case.
To inspect the governor, set the motor board upside down on an empty box of the appropriate size, or straddled on 2x4s, etc..
Take a few close-up photos of the motor for reference.
Insert the crank to wind the motor.
If it's making the clanging noise, shine a flashlight on the governor to see what it is hitting.
Assuming that the governor's flat springs are original, try re-seating the governor on its spindle. There are a number of YouTube videos that should be helpful -- https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... nor+repair
You may also want to take a video of the running motor in case you want to post it on this forum for repair advice.
