Helpful Hint - Repair your Victrola motor using zip ties and other junk from around the house

Post by MikeB »

I bought a Victrola. The owner had replaced the motor, but he gave me the old one. It had the worst repairs I've ever seen.
One governor spring was replaced by a zip tie, another from a snipped off piece of tin from some sort of label, maybe a fishing weight (?) added, and this plastic doohickie was crammed against the spring barrel, which maybe prevented it from popping backwards 'cause the spring was broke.
