I do not understand the concept of the "basket". If they intend to buy it, then just do so. If you want to "favorite" it, to track its bidding progress, there's an option for that as well. What is the Basket for?? Just to tease other bidders into buying?

To be fair I've added things to "basket" before when I know instinctively that I do want to buy them and don't want to simply lump them in with items in "My Watch" which I might be watching for academic reasons only. So why not just buy straight away? Depending on the item, the prices might reduce or discounts / vouchers might become available? I usually do this with low value items like music CD's and Bluray films.

Hi All

Should anyone wish to discuss/purchase the gramophone directly, feel free to contact me at alexanderkirtley@hotmail.co.uk

Below is a video of the gramophone in action, I will try and do a couple more videos if and when I can find the time while the gramophone is still here, times are busy!

An excellent choice of record with which to demonstrate the bass response of the All Range horn.

Great record. Now, I know you're not doing requests but have you got Fletcher Henderson "Hot Mustard" to try on it?

I wonder why the price has been increased to £18,086.72? Is anyone else seeing that price? I've looked it up on my phone and two unconnected PC's, both with cookies / history wiped cleaned (in case a trip to continental Ebay has locked in currency converted prices) but all have this price currently. Is it a technical glitch somewhere?

It’s eBay’s new compulsory buyer protection fee for uk buyers, so everything’s gone a funny price now, hopefully they’ll figure out what they’re doing soon, everything looks quite messy

Oh, okay, thank you, Alex, for confirming this. I agree, it's a complete mess. Hopefully Ebay will make its mind up soon and decide exactly what level of punishment it is happy to inflict upon sellers!
