Victor Fibre Needle Cutter, Fibre needles, "Repeat-O-Graph" Arm & Victor semi-automatic brake for sale

*** Please note that this post has been amended ***

Hi All;

I'm new to the forum & all things 'gramophone' in general...

I recently purchased a Victor VV-XIV & these items came with the machine.

After spending a considerable amount of $$$ for the restoration of the VV-XIV; I've decided to part with these 4 items.

1- Victor Fibre Needle Cutter - with the original box & wood /fibre needles:
There is a similar needle cutter on ebay right now priced @ $145.00. It's condition's inferior to this one & it doesn't have the original box. The felt base on that one is also in tatters. The base felt on this one is perfectly intact. Mine includes the original box and several wooden / fibre needles
- 'Asking' $150. for these items

2- "Repeat-O-Graph" Arm c/w base & Victor 'semi-automatic' brake c/w all mounting screws. Both items are missing a few pieces. You can tell from the pics what they are; post, spring & washer.
- 'Asking' $45. for these items.

Shipping will be a flat rate of $15. for each set of items OR $15. for ALL these items.

Prices are USD & "Net to me" (PayPal "Friends & Family")

Please feel free to PM me with any questions you may have.

Thank you...

I have no idea of the value of these items, so I'll just leave the up here for about a week & I'll just go with "Best Offer" sale?

Value guess: Needle cutter with needles - $100
Repeat-o-graph (not working and missing parts to make it work} - only good for someone who needs this for parts... Replacement parts - not available//impossible to find - do you have the spiral post that goes in the upright tube?

Hi Curt A;

Thanks for the input. I don't have a spiral post with the Repeat-O-Graph. Only what you see in the pics.

However, there is a small semi circular metal plate on the turnable deck though. (Circled in blue) Does that maybe belong to the Repeat-O-Graph?

Yes, the semi-circular part is the mounting base.

The missing spiral post is necessary for it to operate. Unfortunately most were made of pot metal which degraded over time and crumbled...

Thanks again Curt A;

I 'thought' that that might have been part of the Repeat-O- Graph arm assembly. So obviously, that small metal plate will go with the arm.

I'll also throw the semi-automatic brake mechanism; (Circled in blue as well as the plate) into the pot here for anyone looking for parts, as it is missing the spring a washer.

Cheers

No! Don't sell the automatic brake. It's not an accessory. It's part of your phonograph. It won't be difficult to source a spring for it. However, it does also need a couple other parts to be functional. Without it, your phonograph has no brake at all.

JerryVan;
Thanks for that. I was just made aware that besides the spring; there's also a washer missing(?)...So I just found & ordered a whole complete assembly rather than to try to salvage this one.
Cheers!
