FOUND (mistake): VE-XVI Rear Door Vents

Post by LimeTree99 »

Edit 03-06-2025:
Disregard this post. I found an eBay listing for another VE-XVI with the same exact mesh tacked on to the inside of the doors. The serial number was 2810 (mine is 2445), so it's safe to say they were likely made just a few months apart. I've come to the conclusion that this is just how the Victor factory made them early on, and that the gold plated "louver" style vents didn't come until later.

I'm looking for a set of (8) rear door heat vents for a 1913 Oak VE-XVI that I recently purchased. There are 4 on each door (3 small, and 1 large.)
Please find attached a picture showing the hole pattern. (a previous owner had attached perforated coverings to the inside.) They don't appear to be original.

If needed, I can provide measurements. All the other electric machines I've seen have only 3 holes per door.
Perhaps this was an early hole pattern, or a custom job?

Any help is appreciated, thanks.
