Many of the records in this series were pressed from original matrixes.
The old matrixes were machined in the early years of eccentric groove to be added, originally within the DA/DB international celebrity red label series. They removed the ridges at the edges and around the labels, and added the matrix numbers in mould, but the matrixes were pretty much the same, except for records so popular that they run out of metal parts, mothers or whatever, and they had to remake dubbed matrices from archive shellac pressings.
