Looking to sell a Victor VE 9-40. I know I am not going to get around to restoring it. It does have a good pickup, missing the Orthophonic reproducer, the 1927 models really broke apart. The cabinet is clean, with some loss of finish on the lids. I purchased it in Pittsburg out of the living room of the house many years ago for $500. Electronics complete, except missing the 10 tube. Asking $500 will entertain offers. Located in Grantham New Hampshire.

Re: FOR SALE: Victor VE 9-40 $500
Jeff,
I hope a buyer can be found to restore this 9-40. It was best machine in the Victor lineup at $1000 prior to the introduction of the 9-25 and 9-55.
The right hand side contains a Credenza horn and a valve to direct the sound from the Orthophonic soundbox or the electric pickup to the horn.
The left side contains the RCA’s best Radiola and a rotatable antenna as well as album storage.
Here are some photos of my restored 9-40 to see what is possible.
