This is a great ad but it was hard to scan without unbinding the magazine. It's from the July 1909 Munsey[/b The text extols the Columbia celluloid cylinder.." Lend it to the youngsters. Toss it on the table, Drop it on the floor.Kick it across the room. Leave it the sun. Then play it and hear a finer clearer purer stronger reproduction better in every way..." Record S/M aside, they really one-upped Edison on the rugged aspect, allowing everyone to smile indulgently as the baby pulls the cylinders to the floor.
