A Pairing Made In Heaven

Post by poodling around »

So, there is an EMC (not a EMG apparently) gramophone being sold with a commode ...

There has to be a joke here some-where ..... anyone ..................

Agh they always come up at the worst times, i have a spare mk IX horn, but a bank balance that can probably only afford the commode

Starting price is 20 pounds. I'd bid 50 to see what happens... The auction is in two days only. If no one else noticed it, you could get a chance...

True, I’ll keep an eye on it, the soundbox could be a clapped out goldring for all we know, but i would rather like to ‘complete’ this horn

I can't be sure - you would know I think ? - but the sound-box looks like an EMG (lurking around at the back there) ?

Maybe called a 'Horse Shoe' shape or something like that ?

I would ask the auctioneer to secure the soundbox before it ‘disappears’.

I think someone may have done so, as their description states "soundbox in office".
Good luck Alex, I hope you win it.

An EMWC perhaps?

For once at least, we cannot bash the poor auctioneers here as if you look closely at the ID plaque, part of the "G" has rubbed away so it does now appear to be a "C"!
