Info on Ritz Portable Phonograph

Post by BigC »

I purchased a Ritz portable phonograph and after cleaning and servicing it the little thing is humming away like a champ. I can't really find any information on it but it has a Thorens motor and reproducer. I was looking for a picture of whatever goes screwed on the turntable. Any help would be very helpful.

This is almost certainly rebadged, based on the data plate. Looking for a similar Thorens "cameraphone" should yield images of a workable record hold-down. I don't remember if it was spelled with K or C, but try Kameraphone as well. It's a very pretty machine and with that dealer plate it is even more fun.

This looks like a re-badged plaza Kompact to me.
It's identical.

The Plaza Kompact is almost exactly the same! Thank you now I just have to make one that will work because I honestly doubt I could ever find one. Thank you so much.
