Isn't it Altrincham, United Kingdom ? Trafford, Greater Manchester, maybe ?

I guess from the 'advert'. Maybe ask to confirm ?

The Polyphon trademark disc looks recently applied and stuck on the surface not inset into the wood. I suspect the disc was reproduced in Germany around 20-30 years ago. Apart from that the machine looks good for the money though the winding handle may be missing and does the machine actually run? The listing is somewhat brief.

Yes, you are quite correct as this is a Parlophone gramophone and not a Polyphon, though there might be a connection between the two?

Sold!

It was working and did have a winding handle. I offered £125 as I really didn't need it but do collect Parlophones and it was super cheap really in that condition. The metalwork and horn was unusually good. They are normally £350-450 all day long. Unsurprisingly someone came along after me and must have offered the asking price. I don't think I really wanted to drive up to Manchester to be honest, even though the seller agreed to meet me at services on the M6!
