TRADE: Columbia Type BA front-mount for Edison Opera auto-stop

Post by JohnM »

TRADE: Unrestored Columbia Type BA front-mount disc Graphophone. Everything works and it plays. These were not sold as Columbias, only as client machines, so there are no decals. These have a beaded trim and a 3” section is missing. Easy repair by silicone molding and making new with wood putty. Also, one corner missing — you can see it through the gap between the traveling arm and the support arm.
TRADE for a sliding indexing ‘auto-brake’ for an Edison ‘Opera’/AmberolaI-B/Amberola III. See photo.
Cabinet shown not included or for trade, only the Graphophone.
Trader pays shipping, or pick-up in central Arizona near Sedona. Located near I-17/I-10/I-40 corridors.

Box size is 17” x 17” x 35”, weight 25 lbs.

I had it boxed so that I can respond to all of the tire kickers who want to know how much to ship to wherever they live, so unfortunately I cannot make a video of it playing. I do, however, have a short video of it running. As stated, it is unrestored, so would need the reproducer to be rebuilt with new gaskets, etc.

I’d be interested to know what it’ll cost to ship to me.

I’ll have the dimensions of the box and the weight tomorrow and you can run it through the UPS calculator.
