As there were some parts common to both HMV and Victor machines, there may be a Victor equivalent manual brake.
With the motor board removed, you may find some surplus case covering material which can be trimmed off and used.

To be quite frank, I suspect anyone with a case like this has in the past, recovered it completely. It's not just the missing pieces, the rexine is very wrinkled and split in other places. The other thing is that this machine is VERY common in the UK so it's just as likely that someone will find a better case and swap it over or simply get a better one. I cannot imagine anyone, certainly in the UK, has bothered to painstakingly repair areas of black rexine on a 102. I'd suggest looking for an empty case in good condition. Ebay tends to have them periodically.

Yes they turn up on UK eBay, but you may have a long wait before finding one in the USA.

Agreed, but I was thinking he might want to buy from the UK and import as the weight of an empty case should not prove too expensive to ship. If it was the other way around, I'd certainly contemplate buying an empty case from the US to improve an existing machine I have.

Ok thanks I'll keep an eye out for a case in good condition. Thank you.
