1900 First Canadian Berliner Trade Mark

Post by gramophone78 »

Doing some dusting and after many years removed my 1900 trade mark from the glass case. It allowed me a chance to take some nice pics. This one is #1407. I have been told that Berliner started his numbers in Canada at 1000. I'm sure I have seen a three digit Canadian trade mark in the past. However,I just can't remember for sure.
Enjoy the pics

Great looking machine. It still blows my mind to see machines of that vintage in such great condition.

No my question is, have you ever actually used it to play music? I'm aways curious if anyone actually uses front mount machines to play records.

I'm still taking in how great you made your oak VTLA look. That is a real fine restoration. Regarding your question......Yes,I have played it in the past. However, Berliner's and other very early machine are just better as a static display and preserved as historic machines.
Thank again for the kind words.
