Herzog Cylinder Cabinet Restoration, help?

Post by ColoradoPhonograf »

I'm in the midst of restoring a Herzog double door cabinet with shelves that slide out. I had a couple of original shelf bottoms to make a template from. I have made new shelf bottoms but need a little assistance as to the rails or shelf rims that went around each shelf. The edge pieces on the perimeter gave support and structure to each shelf. Does anyone have a Herzog cylinder cabinet with these types of shelves? If so, Could I ask for some dimensions of the rails that went on top of each shelf (mine were all missing). Most likely any Herzog double door cabinet would have a universal design. I need dimensions of the width and height of the rim pieces. Here is a photo of the interior .

Any direct help is appreciated

Thank You,

Thanks Bob,

That is exactly the information that has eluded me for some time. That was kind of you to take photos as well. I've got my table saw and router ready to go. I'll post some photos of the finished project someday soon.

Much appreciated,
