Does that fact that it has been polished up detract from whatever value it has?

The essential BS of the storyline is along these lines: "In 2012 an austrian millionaire comissioned Dell to build him a computer with a 10MB hard drive, 640K memory and a monochrome screen....."

just would not happen. In the 1930's horn phonographs were already "old technology"

I'd kind of like it. Except for what looks like the usual crapo reproducer, the clumsy way the arm is crimped, and the general construction of how the arm mates the horn. It's one to haul around in the back of the taco truck.
