This is *KINDA* phonograph related....because it uses recycled Edison & Victrola parts.
Made this over the past 3 days from junk parts in the shop. Look closely, the valve linkage is a start/stop lever from an Edison Diamond Disc, as well as a Diamond Disc lift lever used to keep the valve cams in alignment. The steam diverter valve is made from a section of Victrola crank, and all bolts (except for carriage bolts used for flywheel shaft and piston rod) are from Diamond Disc motors. Everything else is junk.....flower holder hooks holding cylinder (cylinder sleeve made from old Kenmore vacuum cleaner pipe, capped with a needle cup from an old Cheney!). I would have preferred to make the valve less complicated, but I vowed to work with the limitations of available parts. Works at 40psi....with good torque!!
